Bubble Tree is the new project by Cardelli Bros. that reinterprets the concept of the tree house in an innovative and technological key. Bubble Tree is something never seen before: a living area outside, raised from the ground, which literally transports guests into another dimension, among dreams and fantasy.
Bubble Tree has the shape of a transparent bubble, 5.00x4.00 meters large (but can also be made with custom sizes) and rests on a trunk of galvanized and powder coated steel high from 2.50 to 4.00 meters. The base is a wooden floor with a diameter of 6-8 meters and the bubble is high from 3.00 to 3.50 meters.
But how does Bubble Tree come about? Massimo Cardelli, president of Cardell Bros., tells us how the idea of redesigning the concept of the tree house in Cardelli Bros. key is born.
"I imagined a thousand reasons behind our suggestion to create a sort of tree house, a living area raised from the ground.
I myself wondered at length about what we wanted to mean by this object, this almost magical space that leads to live a completely new and intimate experience of sharing. The answer is perhaps in the desire of our inner child to be carried over the world, inside a tree house that has the transparency and inconsistency of a bubble.
Then I looked in my memory for a phrase, an image that perhaps, at the time unconsciously, had impressed me. And I remembered the words of Professor Keating, played by Robin Williams in the movie “Dead Poets Society”, when he got on the chair and addressed his students saying that "it is precisely when you think you know something that you have to look at it from another perspective".
And that's exactly what happened with Bubble Tree, a project that wants to stimulate a different look at reality, questioning what we think is certain and immutable.”
